So, that title has nothing to do with this post.
That being said, this post has nothing to do with that title.

That being said, it’s summer.
And I’ve been out of school since 3 June 2o12.
And I’ve decidedly had nothing to do.

Yes, this post is boring.
Ah well, you’ll have to put up with my drab-ful antics and juxtaposing word-choice.

Anywho, today I realized that I have a rather peculiar habit.
I love art, all things art - drawing, writing, sculpting, sewing, singing, etc. - but I can’t seem to wrap my mind around this.
In the past, I’ve always tried to keep a journal & a sketchbook in which to keep my thoughts, writings, and drawings in - respectively, but I’ve found that I had never been able to keep one.
I always felt uninspired or lacked motivation, when keeping a journal/sketchbook.

It wasn’t until today that I realized something.
I found myself doodling on napkins, on scrap sheets of paper, writing on cardboard.
I can write and draw to my heart’s content on and in anything that isn’t in one place.
Why is this?

That question is rhetorical.
And on that note, I’m going to continue my haphazard ways until I can form a new habit and manage to keep a journal/sketchbook.

My question to you, fellow Tumblr-ers, is what do you do when you’re in a rut/uninspired?

I feel like I haven’t had any posts up in a while.

Hello.

Can I just go out of state somewhere?

Like Ireland or Australia or New York or something?

I just want to get out of the routine of every day.

I just want to be a tourist, snapping unfocused photos on a disposable camera, splurging on curious oddities and trying strange foods - if only for a week.

I’d like to at least wander off to the zoo or an art museum of some sort.

But alas, the thoughts of every-other-where shall remain but clouded imaginings in the museum of my mind.

And I shall remain stuck at home, wondering and pondering what tomorrow brings.

Thanks for putting up with my ramblings and such&such.

I’ve been lacking in the postage department - I know.

I’m working on it. Still. A bit.

Okay, so I don’t log in every waking minute - yes, I actually log out of Tumblr - and I don’t have forty new posts by the end of the day.

But you shouldn’t take that as a sign that I’m lost forever to the world of blogging.

And…on a completely irrelevant side note, it’s spring break.
